Hi, I’m Gemma. By day, I’m a full-time NHS nurse, and by night, I’m a skincare devotee on a mission to make effective, affordable skincare a reality. For five years, I’ve balanced a career dedicated to caring for others with my growing passion for skincare. In 2021, I decided it was time to bring that passion to life. That’s when Skincare by Gemma began.

What started as offering treatments like dermaplaning, microneedling, and chemical peels quickly grew into something bigger. In early 2023, I took the leap to create my own skincare line. After months of research and countless discussions with a skincare manufacturer, I launched a collection of products I genuinely love.

This journey is deeply personal. During the pandemic, wearing masks for hours left my skin struggling with painful breakouts. On top of that, I was frustrated by how expensive quality skincare had become. It just wasn’t sustainable, and I KNEW I wasn’t alone in feeling this way. I wanted to create something better for myself and for everyone who has felt priced out of good skincare.

Now, I’m pouring my love for natural, effective ingredients into every product. Skincare shouldn’t cost the earth...or your paycheck. Skincare should be simple, nourishing, and something you look forward to, not another stress. If it doesn’t meet my high standards, it never sees the light of day.

I couldn’t do this without my biggest supporters. My husband James handles all the behind-the-scenes admin so I can focus on what I love most. And my mum, Sue, is my right-hand woman, helping to sort and pack every order with care. Together, we’re building something truly special.
